Dolly Boucoyannis was born in Athens, Greece, studied Jewellery Design in Great Britain, Gemology in the United States of America and Goldsmithing Techniques in Florence, before returning to her home city, Athens. She won the De Beers Diamonds International Award for the use of moving diamonds. Since then she has lived and worked in Athens where she runs her own workshop and retail shop, a common secret amongst the most elegant Athenians.
Traditional Greek elements from various historical periods, combined with the knowledge she acquired on her travels, are the inspiration for the creation of her unique artwork.
Her core aspiration throughout her career has been to create personalised jewellery with no expiry date, handmade with an unexpected and subversive combination of carefully chosen materials, free from value restrictions.
