Vasia Pachi was born in Lamia, Greece. She studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. Her interest in jewellery design has been longstanding and her work as a designer is inevitably inspired by her academic and professional experience as an architect. Soon after her graduation she has been continuously enriching her technical skills through workshops and courses in jewellery design. Having completed a prestigious annual executive training course at ‘Eric Robbert’ Jewellery School in Chalkis, she is developing her work further in Athens, where she is currently based. She has successfully participated in several exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

"Human structures have an undoubtedly powerful presence in the living space.

I have always been intrigued and inspired by the observation of the forms and shapes, the spatial compositions as well as the architecture of the human constructions. Their coexistence in the urban space creates a three dimensional collage of materials, images and temporal stratifications on the natural landscape. City can be perceived as a living organism, constantly changing in time and space.

In my work urban space, architectural elements and human structures - initially lifeless and contentless - seek out and rediscover the meaning of the human body. Diminished - in order to conform to the human scale - they enter this new peculiar field, questing after possible spots and places that can be inhabited.

Plastics, wood, rubber, metals and construction materials have been used in my work."
