Spinning is an ancient textile art form in which plant, animal or synthetic fibres are drawn out and twisted together to form yarn, by simple hand tools, the spindle and the distaff. Yarn is the base for my creations. It 's the beginning for everything! I spin some of it to make it double or triple. So actually "nitho" is the first step of my work.
The second step is crocheting. Crocheting is a tradition that runs in my family, that has passed through generations. My mother taught me to croche when I was 6 years old, just like she was taught by her mother, and the story begins many years before.
I decided in 2014 to "spin" with my distaff my future and merge family tradition with fashion.
Yarns of cotton, silk and hypoallergic synthetics combined with beads, pearls, corals, sea shells, Murano, Cloisonne beads and many other materials.
All pieces are unique, without copies! One special for every special neck, for every special woman!
Hand made from beginning to end with love!
