Βring Your Own Background | the project
Elephant Design, always trying to develop our expressive ways, to enhance creativity, experimentation and collaboration and to offer artists time and space to promote their work, introduces the project “Bring Your Own Background”. BYOB is a curatorial project in which artists and creators are welcome to participate.
Our new project is a case study show about how a space with visual identity can be transformed into a new one or more separate areas where the artist can expose his work as a virtual show directly accessible the website of Elephant Design. Our space is the background and each artist can change it.
Our exhibitions are virtual and presented in the form of dwg, 3d render, CGI, gif, or video files: they are well designed and thoroughly planned, ready to be presented to physical audience. In other words, to go from virtual to visual.
Our creative team brings together young architects, graphic designers, video artists and curators who are involved in the visual arts field, embracing contemporary art. The house of the Elephant is defined by a series of elements that support the function of alternating its characteristics, as a place of work and cooperation, a place of projection as well as a meeting point and this can be captured in a remote image on the internet. Our goal is to encourage as many visitors as possible to browse the artists' websites - to interact between the different places, the different workspaces.
#BringYourOwnBackground gives the viewers the opportunity to discover works of art, artists and their creative process, as if they would visit a real exhibition. We aspire to communicate, motivate and grant a crucial meaning to Art, as an alternative attitude to everyday life during these critical times.
Elephant Design welcomes you to this new meeting place to explore the world of each artist.
