meliCERA is the combination of the Greek word ΄meli΄ which means honey & the latin word ΄cera΄ which means wax. Our brand philosophy is based on the bees world, since we believe that bees can offer humans the best to make this Planet a better place to live in.
Born as a tribute to the world of bees and nature, meliCERA has simplicity at its core. meliCERA was born at the beginning of 2018 in Trikala by Jiota Nizami. However, its roots start in 1985 by her father and beekeeper, Mr. John Nizamis.
Having studied in the field of Biomedical Lab Science and after a long professional career in Switzerland, Jiota decided to go back to her roots and focus on what her childhood memories were full of. Honey.

Honey
Our honey varieties come in small batches exactly as gathered from the hives without additional processing, filtering them gently in order to preserve all its valuable, nutritional substances.
We follow nomadic beekeeping because we believe that nomadic beekeeping is the healthiest and richest form of beekeeping. One of our best honey varieties is our oak honey which is collected in the famous region of Meteora, an area which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Near the sacred rocks of the Meteora in a natural tunnel overgrown with oak trees we produce the high quality oak and forest honey, which is rich in trace elements, minerals and antioxidant properties.
Beeswax candles
Beeswax is the purest form of wax in nature. It is natural, non-toxic and burns cleaner than other waxes, making it a perfect environmentally friendly choice.
Our collection is an assortment of beautiful and stylish candles, including unscented (no additional scent - they emerge the characteristic pure warm beeswax scent) natural & black beeswax candles in geometrical shapes and dinner candles as well as scented candles which are handmade with a mix of 100% pure beeswax from our hives and natural soy. We use materials which are environmentally friendly, without paraffin, using fragrance oils in accordance to the European regulation EU REACH.
Beeswax candles are not only an ode to quality and simple beauty , but they are also a more sustainable and carbon-neutral alternative to conventional candles.

Bee skin care products
We believe that everything we need can be found in nature. So lately, we´ve started to partner with a small family independent lab in Crete, which specializes in natural skincare products based on herbs, essential oils and natural raw materials.
Their manufacturing is based on using the purest of natural ingredients, using techniques like cold-pressed processes which let all the valuable ingredients in the end product.
Simplicity & authenticity are our purpose, so we are on a mission to combine in the purest possible way natural ingredients with bee products to manifest the pure beauty.
For our packaging we favour glass with wood details over plastic that bring our products not only in absolute balance with our philosophy & aesthetic but also because they can be 100% reused or recycled.
