GREEK RECIPES WITH A MODERN TWIST
In a two-storied neo-classic building in Koukaki, close to the Acropolis Museum, we found the plaAce to grow our passion for Greek traditional cuisine and the chance to create a modern approach. MANIMANI’ s cuisine, mostly loyal to its place of origin, the city of Southern Peloponnese named Mani, flirts with recipes from all over Greece and is not afraid of the modern approach and ideas, using traditional and healthy products of Mani and Peloponnese.
TRADITIONAL PRODUCTS DIRECT FROM MANI & THE PELOPONNESIAN COUNTRYSIDE
The products we use are fresh and healthy and blend harmoniously with recipes from all over Greece.
Mani’s most well known products are olives, olive oil, honey, provincial pasta called chilopites, cheese called touloumotiri, siglino (Mani’s smoked ham), booster from Bardouna of Lakonia, traditional sausage with orange from Areopolis, handmade bread, sweets like diples, homemade jams, oregano, other herbs and tea coming from Mani’s mountains. We use these products in order to give a tone of Mani’s tradition to our menu.
The house wine is from Laconia, well known for the excellent cultivation of vineyards on arid ground close to the sea. Genuine olive oil produced by the owners of the restaurant in Gythio is used in the preparation of all plates, which include specialties like tsouchtes (goat cheese topped with a fried egg), “kagianas” traditional omelette from Mani with "siglino" (traditional smoked pork) or sausage, mille feuille with sour cherries and many more.
